I've recently discovered a new Indian restaurant that I feel obligated to let Far North Dallas readers know about about. Yes, it's really that good. In fact, it's so good I've taken friends there who have sworn off Indian food and they've even enjoyed it.
Bukhara Grille off Campbell just past 75 is technically outside of our neighborhood–but if you're willing to drive the 3 or so miles, it'll be worth the gas you use. And if you go for the weekend dinner buffet, it'll really be worth it. That's when you get to sample the best of everything on the menu. But the buffet spread changes regularly, so you might want to check the website before you go.
A must-try is the chicken biryani, which is a lot like an Indian pot pie: meat and rice baked in a little cauldron that's sealed with a dough top. Honorable mentions also include the makhani, chunks of chicken in creamy tomato sauce--and the korma, lamb in coconut-almond sauce. There's also a build-your-own gyro station at the buffet, my personal favorite. And the naan bread is flat out addictive.
Bukhara Grille is also BYOB, although I'm not entirely sure what wines pair well with curry. But with food this good, you probably don't even need the wine.
